Katie Maraldo is a dynamic vocalist and educator with a lifelong passion for helping others discover the power and individuality of their own voice. Having studied voice since the age of twelve, she quickly gained recognition for her exceptional musicianship, earning multiple MSVMA awards in Solo and Ensemble State Competitions, performing in acclaimed show choirs and bands, and studying under legendary Motown artist David Winans. Her talent even caught the attention of Motown icon Martha Reeves, who praised Katie’s artistry and dedication to her craft.
Katie went on to study Voice Performance at the University of Michigan, training under the direction of renowned opera singer Daniel Washington. During her time in Ann Arbor, she performed with a variety of ensembles, including choirs, vocal jazz groups, and songwriting collectives, and earned awards for her performances and original compositions. Her education gave her not only a deep technical foundation but also a creative versatility that shines through in every style she sings or teaches.
In addition to her vocal work, Katie is a Grammy U Recording Academy Ambassador, a songwriter, journalist, and multi-instrumentalist, performing on both guitar and piano. Whether in the studio, on stage, or in the lesson room, Katie brings energy, expertise, and empathy to every interaction, guiding each student to grow in skill, confidence, and artistic identity.
